Alicia Granados, 73, of Ottawa, passed away Thursday, December 26, 2019 at OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 am, January 3, 2020 at St. Francis of Assisi Church, with Fr. Augustin Kassa officiating.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 2, from 3 to 6 pm, with the Holy Rosary at 5:30 pm, at Ottawa Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery.
Alicia was born November 20, 1946, in Valencianita Irapuato Guanajuato Mexico, to Guadalupe and Simona (Fuentes) Granados.
Alicia worked at Borg Warner for 22 years, and for the last 8 years worked for Seattle Sutton. She enjoyed her time with family and friends. She loved to sew, cook, and garden. She was very religious and was involved in many prayer groups. She always prayed and held her faith very close to her heart. She helped many people in any way she could. She was so kind and loved by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters, Belen (Teofilo) Gonzalez, Blanca Lambert, and Erica (Chris) Leiteritz; her grandchildren, Lyan, Faith, Adrian, Basia, and Koral; her sister, Esther (Martin) Granados Gonzalez; her step-mother, Esther Granados; her half-brother, Joseph Granados; her half-sisters, Marie, Angie, Lupe, and Julia Granados; and her nieces and nephews, Jesus, Jose, Carlos, Francisco, Martin, Tony, Eva, Silvia, Martha, Yolanda, and Blanca Gonzalez.
Alicia was preceded in death by her parents, Guadalupe and Simona; her half-brother, John Granados; her uncles, Francisco (Mary) Granados and Jesus (Rosa) Granados; her aunt, Angela Granados; and many cousins.
Pallbearers will be Teofilo Gonzalez, Lyan Gonzalez, Martin Gonzalez, Tony Gonzalez, Jeff Lambert, and Chris Leiteritz. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Faith, Adrian, Basia, and Koral.
