Roberta Ward

Died: January 12, 2020

Roberta C. Ward, 83, of Marseilles, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2020 at Aperion Care Center in Marseilles.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 Thursday, January 16 at Seals-Campbell Funeral Home in Marseilles. Funeral service will be at 6 p.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Duane Kaufman officiating. Burial will be in the Riverview Cemetery at a later date.

Roberta was born March 1, 1936, in Ottawa, to Daniel and Della (Scott) Smith. In 1953, she married Donald LeRoy Ward of Marseilles who preceded her in death in 1994.

Roberta was a member of the Women of the Moose and the Grundy Rod and Gun club. She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by one daughter, Janice Ward of Seneca; four sons, Ernest (Cindi) of Morris, Steve(Pam) of Morris, Michael (Colleen) of Morris, and Craig (Paula) of Seneca; fourteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Sandy LaVelle of Az.; one brother, Daniel (Elsie) Smith of Streator.

Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; one son, Alan Ward; two great-grandchildren; and one sister, Billie Johnson. Seals-Campbell Funeral Home
