Donna Gale Payne, 60, passed away on January 14, 2020.

She was born on August 10, 1959 in Joliet, Illinois to Bertice and Elsie Holland.

She graduated high school in 1977 and on September 16, 1978 she married her High School Sweetheart, Brad.

Donna graduated with her Bachelor's Degree in 1983.

Donna and Brad moved to Ottawa, IL in 1980 where they raised their two children, Brandy and Cody Payne. After staying home for several years with her children, she went back to school to get her teaching certificate in 2003. Donna taught business and computers at Mendota High School for several years before going back to get her Master's degree in Library Science. She received her Master's in 2014 and became the Mendota High School Librarian until she retired in 2017.

Donna retired to Eloy, AZ with her husband in the fall of 2017. Donna enjoyed gardening, reading, and after retirement she became an avid quilter.

Donna is survived by her husband: Brad Payne of Eloy, AZ; her children: Brandy Payne of Springfield, IL and Cody (Mari) Payne of Phoenix, AZ; and her siblings: Nan Humphries, Berl Holland, Wayne Holland, Bill Holland, Edith Pickens, Fray Holland, Eugene Holland, Mildred Dodge, Diane Medlin, Kathy Garcia, Sharon King, and Debbie Poulos.

She is preceded in death by her siblings: Elois and Juet Holland.

Celebration of Life will be held at 3 pm on Thursday January 23, 2020 at Gardens Chapel. J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud, Gardens Chapel are handling arrangements.
