La Salle Public Library hosting 5 live virtual gardening presentations

The La Salle Public Library will be hosting a series of five live virtual presentations offered by the University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener and Master Naturalist programs.

The series kicks off 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, with “Container Gardening” led by University of Illinois Extension Master Gardener volunteer Natalie Martin. At the end of the presentation, participants will be able to ask questions via live-chat.

The other programs in the series include the following:

“Transformational Gardening” at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 13.

“Rain Gardens” at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 16

“Landscaping for Birds” at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 20

“Backyard Birds” at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 23.

This program is free, open to the public, and will be presented in an easy-to-use virtual format.
