Indian Valley Vocational Center honors 18 students

Indian Valley Vocational Center in Sandwich named 18 Outstanding Fall Students. The recognition program spotlights a student from each of the 16 programs on site as well as the cosmetology program. Award recipients are selected by their instructors. The criteria included are qualities such as outstanding professional work, enthusiasm, attendance, initiative and demonstrated work ethic.

Each IVVC program selects a different student three times a year for special recognition. The students will receive a certificate denoting the award.

The Outstanding Fall 2020 students, listed by their respective programs, are:

• Auto Body Repair: Christian Meier, Indian Creek High School

• Auto Technology I: Alex Heiman, Serena High School

• Auto Technology II: Bryer Wiborg, Somonauk High School

• Certified Nursing Assistant: Tatiana Jackson, Yorkville High School

• Computer Programming: Nathan Anderson, Yorkville High School

• Computer Technology: Carissa Clark, Indian Creek High School

• Construction Trades: Nelson Mantzke, Somonauk High School

• Cosmetology – Debutantes: Tori Phillips, Hinckley-Big Rock High School

• Cosmetology – Hair Professionals: Stefanie Droysen, Plano High School

• Culinary Arts: Jodee Leggett, Yorkville High School

• Emergency Medical Services: Alexis Young, Sandwich High School

• Fire Science: Ivy Adams, Newark High School

• Graphic Design: Sean Kelley, Serena High School

• Health Occupations: Logan Nelson, Sandwich High School

• Law Enforcement: Mariah Chunn, Sandwich High School

• Sports Medicine: Jayden McCulskie-Green, Sandwich High School

• Teaching Methods: Josie Ness, Sandwich High School

• Welding & Fabrication: Braedon Landers, Sandwich High School
