December 11, 1995

The Marquette girls basketball team rolled past Midland 46-20 in a Tri-County Conference game. The Lady Crusaders were led by Stefanie Kaufmann's 15 points and six rebounds, while Teri Graham had six points and four steals, Mary Rothrock posted seven points and Suzanne Salrin five rebounds.

The Flanagan girls hoops squad topped Woodland 37-30 in a Midstate Conference matchup. The Lady Falcons were paced by Beth Maticic [11 points, seven rebounds] and Lisa Moreau [10 points, 11 rebounds], while the Lady Warriors received 10 points from Karry Dennis and six rebounds from Monica Studnicki.

December 11, 1970

The Serena boys basketball squad registered a 92-68 Little Ten Conference win over Malta. The Huskers' Jerry McLachlan poured in 35 points with Paul Finley adding 18 points and Mark Wright 17 points.

The Somonauk boys hoops club slipped by Earlville in LTC play. Jeff Underwood led the Bobcats with 19 points, while Earlville's Chuck Lane led all scorers with 20 points.

The Newark basketball team defeated LTC foe Leland 62-45. The Norsemen were led by 18 points from Steve Moe and 12 points from Jim Johnson. The Panthers were paced by 17 points from Ed Hill.
