Admission is free

Strumming on his banjo, Jacob Underwood, a member of the Bluegrass Express, a musical group from Galena, entertained the crowds during the Burgoo Festival in Utica Sunday.

Bluegrass, country and gospel acoustic jams are under way at the Harding Community Center, 1625 N 4012th Road.

Jams begin at 6 p.m. and last until about 10 p.m. on the first Saturday of each month through May. Time slots for open mics are about 15 to 20 minutes. No admission is charged, but anyone attending can bring a dish to pass.
