Child struck by vehicle in Streator taken to hospital, injuries not serious

A 6-year-old child was struck by a vehicle Tuesday at the intersection of Grant and Park streets in Streator and taken to a local hospital, Streator police said.

The child’s condition did not appear to be serious, but was taken to the hospital to be examined, according to police. The Streator Fire Department responded to the scene at about 7:45 a.m.
