Princeton will play at a new Christmas tournament site this holiday season when it travels to play at Sherrard from Dec. 26-28.
Other participating teams for the second-year event are Alleman Annawan, Byron, East Dubuque, Geneseo, IMSA and the host Sherrard Tigers. Pairings will come out later this week.
Byron defeated Sherrard in overtime for last year’s championship.
Princeton has not played in a Christmas Tournament since last playing at Plano in 2016.
LaMoille will host its Holiday Classic from Dec. 26-28. The Lions will meet Calvary Christian at 4:30 p.m. while DePue will meet Galva at noon on the first day. Other first-round games match Amboy vs. Leland and Polo vs. Lowpoint-Washburn.
St. Bede and Henry-Senachwine will play in the 96th annual Princeville Holiday Tournament from Dec. 26-28.
The Hall boys will take part in the new Christmas tournament at Seneca from Dec. 26-28, which takes over the former Marquette/Marseilles tournament.
On the girls side, Princeton returns for its second year at Ottawa, drawing pool games with Streator at 7 p.m. Dec. 19 and Plainfield Central at 6 p.m. Dec. 20. The tournament concludes Dec. 21.
The Lady Bruins Christmas Classic at St. Bede will run with pool games on Dec. 26-27 and finals on Dec. 28. St. Bede will compete in the White Pool with games against Annawan at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 26. On Dec. 27, the Bruins meet Sandwich at 10 a.m. and Orion at 5:30 p.m.
The Green Pool consists of Brimfield, Fieldcrest, Putnam County and Serena.
Hall has left the Amboy tournament and will join Bureau Valley at the Warkins Memorial Classic held by Erie-Prophetstown from Dec. 27-30. Pairings will come out later this week.
