The Mendota Knights of Columbus recently passed checks to several nonprofit, community organizations.

The Knights of Columbus donated $1,000 to the Mendota Police Station for the Samaritan Fund, $1,000 to Mendota Area Senior Services, $2,000 to Abigail Women’s Center, $1,000 to Mendota Area Christian Food Pantry and $500 to Lighted Way.

All of these donations were made possible through the community-supported sweet corn sales, and also included the donations from the organization’s Persons with Intellectual Disabilities Tootsie Roll promotion in September.
