Illinois Valley PADS recognized the Illini Valley Association of Realtors for its commitment and support throughout the past year in addressing homelessness in the community.
From financial contributions to hands-on volunteerism, the Realtor association has made an impact in the lives of many individuals experiencing homelessness.
Over the past year, Illini Valley Realtors have provided support to IV PADS through:
- a $7,500 grant that financed the Hope for Tomorrow – A Community Response to Homelessness event. This gathering brought together community members, resource providers and advocates to build momentum in addressing homelessness in the Illinois Valley area.
- $1,363 raised by Realtors during its holiday party, which was donated to Illinois Valley PADS to provide services and resources to those in need.
- monthly volunteer efforts from Realtors who serve dinner at the Peru PADS, ensuring residents receive warm meals and compassionate care.
“At the association, we believe in the importance of giving back to the communities we serve,” said Beth Coleman, president of the Illini Valley Association of Realtors. “Partnering with Illinois Valley PADS allows us to directly support our neighbors and make a difference for those experiencing homelessness. The opportunity to contribute both financially and through service has been truly rewarding for our members.”
Carol Alcorn, executive director of Illinois Valley PADS, expressed her gratitude for the contributions.
“The Illini Valley Association of Realtors has been an incredible partner,” Alcorn said. “Their unwavering support, from generous grants to the dedication of their time, has had a profound impact on the individuals and families we serve. Together, we are making strides toward a future where homelessness is met with compassion and solutions.”
Illinois Valley PADS and the Illini Valley Association of Realtors invite the community to join them in recognizing these contributions and continuing to work toward a shared vision of providing hope, dignity and opportunity for all.
