The following local churches shared their schedule for Christmas services with Shaw Local News Network.
Arlington, Cherry, Dalzell
Christmas Eve Masses will be at 4 p.m. in St. Thomas More Church in Dalzell and at 8 p.m. in St. Patrick in Arlington. Christmas Day Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. in Holy Trinity Church, Cherry.
La Salle
Trinity United Church of Christ will conduct a Christmas Eve service at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24.
Grace United Methodist Church will hold a 6:30 p.m. candlelight Christmas Eve service. Additionally, the church will offer a Blue Christmas service at 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 19.
The La Salle Catholic Parishes will hold Christmas Eve Masses at 4 p.m. in St. Hyacinth Church, at 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. in St. Patrick Church, with a Spanish Mass at 7 p.m. in St. Hyacinth’s. Midnight Mass in Latin will be at Holy Rosary Shrine. Christmas Day Masses will be at 8 a.m. in St. Hyacinth, 10 a.m. in St. Patrick and 12:15 p.m. in Spanish at St. Hyacinth.
Mendota, Earlville
Christmas Eve Masses will be at 4 p.m., 6 p.m. (in Spanish) and at 10 p.m. in Holy Cross Church, Mendota. Mass will offered at 4 p.m. in St. Theresa Church, Earlville, and at 6 p.m. in Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Peterstown.
Christmas Day Masses will be at 8:30 a.m. in St. Theresa, 9 a.m. in Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Peterstown, at 10 a.m. in Holy Cross Church.
Oglesby
Oglesby Union Church will hold a candlelight Christmas Eve service at 6 p.m.
Holy Family Church will hold Christmas Eve Masses at 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. Christmas Day Mass will be at 8 a.m.
Ottawa
St. Columba Church is temporarily closed for renovations. The Ottawa Catholic Churches will celebrate Christmas Eve Masses at 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. in St. Patrick Church and at 4:30 p.m. in St. Francis of Assisi Church. Christmas Day Masses will be at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. in St. Patrick and at 9 a.m. at St. Francis.
Peru
St. John’s Lutheran Church will hold a Christmas Eve service at 5:30 p.m.
Zion United Church of Christ will hold a candlelight Christmas Eve service at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24
Princeton
Christ Community Church willhold a Christmas Eve candlelight service at 6 p.m.
Evangelical Covenant Church in will hold two Christmas Eve services at 5 p.m. (family-friendly) and at 10 p.m. (traditional). Both will be candlelight services.
St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church will hold candlelight Christmas Eve services at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.
St. Louis Catholic Church will hold Christmas Eve Masses will be at 4 p.m., 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. Christmas Day Mass will be at 9 a.m.
Spring Valley (including DePue)
Christmas Eve Masses will be at 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. in Nativity of Our Lord Church in Spring Valley, with a bilingual Mass at 6 p.m. at St. Mary Church, DePue. Christmas Day Masses will be at 9 a.m. in Nativity of Our Lord Church with Masses in St. Mary’s at 10:15 a.m. (English) and noon (Spanish).
Streator
Holy Trinity Lutheran Church will host a special service at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 24, at Old No. 3, the Little White Church on Church and Franklin streets in South Streator.
Utica
St. Mary Church will hold Christmas Eve Masses at 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. Christmas Day Mass will be at 9 a.m.
