Streator library to host stuffed animal sleepover

The dome and mural restoration project at the Streator Public Library is two thirds of the way complete. Mural restoration is ongoing.

A stuffed animal sleepover is planned Friday at Streator Public Library.

Children are encouraged to drop off their animal friend 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27, to have an adventure at the library, 130 S. Park St.

Share a story and make a craft with them before leaving them have a sleepover at the library. Tune in online to see their adventures.

Pick up stuffed animals 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, as well as take part in a craft and photo.

Additionally, the library will host a reindeer scavenger hunt the week of Dec. 23. Search the library and find all of the hidden items. Theme changes weekly.

4 to 5 p.m. Monday Dec. 23: Arts and crafts, young children. Come to the library to create cute and fun projects to take home.

10 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 26: Playful pages, for children 4 and younger. A toddler playdate hosted in the library.

4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26: Link Up, teens. A teen outlet/discussion group that covers everything from comedy, trivia and pop culture. Talk about your favorite topics and learn about some new ones.

6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 26: Painting Academy, teens/adults. Learn the basics of drawing with artist Nate.

1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 28: Tabletop gaming, public. Enjoy some tabletop gaming with provided games in the library. Bring a friend and have some fun.
