A First Day Hike is planned for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1, at Lake Kakusha in Mendota.

The weather will determine the hike length. Park at the Mendota Civic Center, 1901 Tom Merwin Drive. Children are welcome to participate with an adult. Wear warm boots or proper footwear. Leave pets at home.
