Hear stories of 4 local boys who fought in Civil War

The next meeting of the Starved Rock Civil War Round Table will be 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14, in Room 420 at Ottawa High School, 211 E. Main St.

This is a departure from the normal Wednesday meeting because of high traffic the next night.

The program will be “The Boys’ War” presented by Dan Schott. This includes stories about four local boys who fought in the Civil War, along with a few surprising facts about what the boys went through.

The public is welcome, and there will be door prizes and light refreshments available.
