JT Dant back on top of Princeton Masters

Six-time champ leads former champ Joe Zokal by 1.22 Peterson Points

Six-time champ JT Dant is back on top of the Princeton Masters Bowling Tournament after the first round of competition at Pin Splitter Lanes.

Dant has scored 66.47 Peterson Points to lead the field, winning 10 of 12 matches, including the high series of the day on Saturday at 1,499.

Dant, the owner of Pin Splitter Lanes, has won Masters titles in 2010, 2011, 2013, 2017, 2019 and 2023. He was runner-up to AJ Egan in last year’s finals.

Former champ Joe Zokal moved up six spots after the first day of competition into second place at 65.25.

Sam Lawrence also had a hot day on Sunday, climbing seven positions to move into third place at 65.14. Garrett Allen (62.43) checks in fourth and defending champ AJ Egan (61.01) stands fifth.

Rounding out the top 10 are Matt Gapski (60.32), David Tuff and Mike McClure (60.18), Chris Layton (60.02) and Chad Lewis (58.48).

Lawrence rolled the high series on Sunday at 1,526 while Egan (289) and Allen (290) had the high games for Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

Round 3 of the Masters will start at 3 p.m. Saturday at Pin Splitter Lanes with the stair-ladder finals starting at 2 p.m. Sunday.
