Logan’s Oasis Organization will host a Playground Fundraising Quarter Auction on Thursday, Jan. 16, at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 806 Oakley Ave., Streator.

All of the funds raised will go toward developing a new playground at Marilla Park, which is confirmed to feature a handicap-accessible play area and an Autism interaction zone.

Doors will open at 5 p.m., with bidding to begin at 6 p.m. Chicken dinners will be available for purchase.

In addition to the Jan. 16 fundraiser, Melissa Crank of Logan’s Oasis hosts live Facebook auctions every Sunday night at 9 p.m. on her personal Facebook page. During these auctions, community members can donate various items, with all proceeds going toward the playground fundraising efforts.

Monetary donations are still being accepted through the Starved Rock Country Community Foundation.

Checks can be mailed to SRCCF/Logan’s Oasis, 241 Marquette St., La Salle, IL 61301. Online donations can be made by visiting the SRCCF website and selecting Logan’s Oasis from the list of supported organizations.
