Streator 2,639, Rochelle 2,334: At T-Byrd Lanes, the visiting Bowlin' Bulldogs defeated Rochelle led by a 534 series (192, 184 high games) off the hands of Madi Bedeker.
Other top series for Streator included Lyla Gengler’s 465 (181), Jenna Onasch’s 449 (181) and Lily Michael’s 430 (162).
Boys bowling
Ottawa 3,305, Kaneland 3,035, Dekalb 2,769: In Interstate 8 Conference play, the Pirates were victorious in a triangular led by high roller Caden Walter’s 581 series (215 high game).
Cash Fowler’s 573 (211) also paced Ottawa.
Girls basketball
Indian Creek 59, Earlville 34: At Shabbona, the visiting Red Raiders lost the Little Ten Conference contest despite 15 points courtesy of Natalie Hall.
Jacey Helgesen (six points) and Kylie Helgesen (five points) also led Earlville.
Serena 47, Newark 14: At Serena, the host Huskers dominated the Norsemen for the Little Ten win, with Jenna Setchell pouring in a game-high 24 points and adding six rebounds and four steals.
Anna Hjerpe (six points) and RayElle Brennan (five points, three steals) also paced Serena (12-3).
Seneca 40, Putnam Co. 31: At Seneca, the host Fighting Irish trailed through three quarters before closing out the Tri-County Conference win with an 18-3 fourth quarter to improve to 13-4 overall, 6-12 in the TCC.
Alyssa Zellers (14 points), Graysen Provance (13) and Audry McNabb (11) all scored in double digits for Seneca.
Marquette 57, Henry-Sen. 27: At Henry, the visiting Crusaders were led to the Tri-County Conference triumph by Kaitlyn Davis' 17 points, 11 points and six steals from Hunter Hopkins, Keely Nelson’s 11 points and five assists, plus an eight-point, 10-rebound performance courtesy of Kelsey Cuchra.
Lisle 48, Streator 28: At Lisle, the visiting Bulldogs (1-17 overall, 0-6 ICE) lost the Illinois Central Eight Conference road game despite 15 points from Ava Gwaltney and five more scored by Maddy Martin.

Rochelle 53, Sandwich 24: At Rochelle, the visiting Indians lost to their old conference rival. Scoring contested wins for Sandwich were Luis Murillo (285 pounds), Jakob Gruca (126), Colten Stone (132) and Joshua Kotalik (150).
Boys swimming
La Salle-Peru Co-Op 53, Peoria Notre Dame 40: At La Salle, Jonathan Neu and Brian Lowery each won a pair of individual events and swam on a winning relay Thursday to help the Cavaliers to a victory.
Neu won the 200-yard freestyle (1:54.76) and the 100 freestyle (50.63), while Lowery won the 100 butterfly (59.56) and the 100 breaststroke (1:14.02).
Neu and Lowery swam with Bo Weitl and Tucker Ditchfield to win the 200 freestyle relay in 1:40.08.
Ditchfield also won the 500 freestyle (5:28.2), while Caleb Strand won the 50 freestyle (24.98).
