Jefferson Elementary School in Ottawa announced December’s Champions of the Charter.

The following emotional scientists went above and beyond to make their classroom a positive learning environment for everyone throughout the month of December, the school said in a news release. The students' last names were not released by the school.

Kindergarten: Serenity J., Griffey F. and Brady M.
First grade: Ivan S., Mia E. and Chloe B.
Second grade: Lyla P., Liam P. and Calvin H.
Third grade: Carter A., Josie R., Ethan J. and Kendall W.
Fourth grade: Keyon H., Beck N. and Adele B.
