Ottawa Sunrise Rotary names Seniors of the Month for January 2025

Marquette, Ottawa High students receive honor

The Rotary Club of Ottawa Sunrise selected the Seniors of the Month for January.

Makayla Backos attends Marquette Academy and Illinois Valley Community College. She will graduate from both schools in May and plans to pursue a degree in nursing.

Evelyn Jeppson was selected from Ottawa High School. Jeppson is involved in a multitude of clubs and music opportunities. Achieving a degree in music therapy is Jeppson’s career goal.
