Coroner says 18-year-old Wyanet man died as result of exposure, no signs of trauma

Information comes from forensic autopsy

The 18-year-old man found unconscious in the 100 block of East Second Street in Wyanet died as a result of exposure with no signs of trauma, Bureau County Coroner Kurt Workman said in a news release on Tuesday.

On Dec. 21, Keith Raulerson was found outside a home and taken to OSF St. Clare Medical Center in Princeton, Workman said in a news release.

After an extended resuscitation effort, Raulerson died, Workman said.

Kurtman said in a news release, that a forensic autopsy was performed on Dec. 26 and results show that Raulerson died as a result of exposure and had no signs of trauma.

“Our deepest condolences go out to the family and friends of Mr. Raulerson,” Workman said.

The Bureau County Coroner’s Office thanked all the agencies who have aided in this case including Bureau County Sheriff’s Office, Wyanet Police Department and the Princeton Fire Department.
