IVCC choir invites new singers

Spring Vocal Concert set April 28

The Illinois Valley Community College Choir welcomes new voices to join as spring rehearsals get underway. Comprised of college students and community members who enjoy making music, the choir stages public performances each semester.

The Illinois Valley Community College choir invites singers from the community to join the group.

Beginning Jan. 27, the group meets from 6 to 8 p.m. on Mondays (except Feb. 17 and March 10) in Room D-223.

The choir is open to anyone 16 years old and older, and no experience is necessary.

“Singing in a group is a proven way to improve your health and mood,” said Jenilyn Roether, choir director. “Our choir is very welcoming of new singers, as we are all here with the same goals in mind.”

The spring semester will culminate with a Spring Vocal Concert at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 28. For information or to join, email jenilyn_roether@ivcc.edu.
