El Paso-Gridley 58, Fieldcrest 56: In the semifinals of the McLean County/Heart of Illinois Conference Tournament at Bloomington’s Shirk Center, the third-seeded Knights fell to Saturday’s third-place game with the two-point loss to the second-seeded Titans on Friday.
Layten Gerdes (19 points), Kash Klendworth (16) and Jordan Heider (12) led Fieldcrest, which plays fifth-seeded Lexington for third ahead of Saturday’s 8 p.m. championship game between the Titans and top-seeded Tri-Valley.
Kaneland 64, Ottawa 39: At Maple Park, the visiting Pirates fell behind early but hung in there until being outscored 20-2 in the fourth quarter of an Interstate 8 Conference defeat.Owen Sanders posted a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds for Ottawa. Evan Snook scored 11 points and handed out four assists, with Lucas Farabaugh adding six points.
The Pirates are 7-10 overall, 0-5 in the Interstate 8 Conference heading into a four-game home stand beginning next Tuesday against old NCIC rival Kewanee.
Woodland 43, Henry-Senachwine 37: At the Warrior Dome in rural Streator, the host Warriors improved to 15-5 on the season and 5-1 in the Tri-County Conference with the win over the Mallards in a game that was tied 30-all through three quarters.
Nick Plesko popped in 15 points to lead Woodland, with Connor Dodge scoring 13 and Jaron Follmer adding seven.
Marquette 54, Midland 48: At rural Varna, the visiting Crusaders captured a Tri-County Conference triumph over the Timberwolves. The victory moves Marquette to 10-11 overall and evens up its TCC mark at 3-3 heading into next week’s Tri-County Conference Tournament in Granville.

Kaneland 48, Ottawa 45: At Maple Park, the Pirates dropped the road Interstate 8 Conference game to the Knights.
Marlie Orlandi led Ottawa with 16 points, with Mary Stisser adding 14 points and eight rebounds. Skylar Dorsey contributed 13 points.
Somonauk-Leland 51, Indian Creek 45: At Earlville in the third-place game of the 44th annual Little Ten Conference Tournament, the Bobcats — led by 21 points from Kiley Mason —defeated the Timberwolves.
Abby Hohmann had 11 points and four steals for S-L, with Macey Kinney adding 10 points and Aubrey Chivario recording eight rebounds.
Newark 53, Earlville 47: At Earlville in the consolation championship of the 44th annual Little Ten Conference Tournament, the Red Raiders fell short against the Norsemen.
Earlville was led by Natalie Hall (14 points, 10 rebounds, five assists), Bailey Miller (11 points, 10 rebounds) and Audrey Scherer (10 points, six rebounds).
