At LeRoy: Princeton had four champions in the Randy Bowman Invitational on Saturday to claim a second-place team finish.Kane Dauber (132 pounds), Ace Christiansen (144), Casey Etheridge (165) and Cade Odell (285) all won titles.
In championship matches, Dauber defeated Oregon’s Nelson Benesh 9-6, Christiansen pinned Warrensburg-Latham’s Charlie Wittmer, Etheridge won by 15-7 major decision over Shelbyville’s Ryne Peavler and Odell defeated LeRoy’s Tate Sigler 4-2.
Also for Princeton, Jaydon Cooke (126) placed third, Augustus Swanson (120) was fourth, and Ian Morris (215) took sixth.
The Tigers scored 172 points to finish behind Oregon (205).
At Orion: St. Bede’s Michael Benge placed third at 113 pounds at Orion’s Bob Mitton Invitational. He pinned Farmington’s Parker Zerfass in the third-place match.
Also for the Bruins, Max Moreno finished fourth at 126.
Boys basketball
Orangeville 63, LaMoille 51: The Lions held a 5-point lead, but couldn’t hold on to it, falling on the road. Tyler Billhorn had 17 points and 11 rebounds for the Lions and Brayden Klein scored 18 points with seven rebounds.
St. Bede 66, Putnam County 54: Halden Hueneburg had 18 points, Gino Ferrari 16 and Kaden Newman 11 for the Bruins, who won the Tri-County Conference Tournament play-in game Saturday at the Academy.
Jason Stoddard led PC with 14 points and Miles Main added 10 points.
The Bruins advance to play Roanoke-Benson at 7 p.m. Monday in Granville.
Princeton Christian Academy 70, Mendota freshmen 66: The Eagles closed out their second season of high school basketball with a win Saturday morning at Howard Hoffman Memorial Gymnasium.
Julian Mucha (23) and Trustin Crew (20) combined for 43 points with Jed Johns adding 10, Andrew Gibson nine and Santy Slevin eight for PCA.
Ashton Stamberger led Mendota with 22 points and Tomas Corrigan (12) and Abel Nanez (10) combined for 22 more.

Princeton 69, Orion 32: Keighley Davis had 20 points and Camryn Driscoll added 15 in a Saturday matinee at Prouty for the Tigresses, who improves to 12-8
