Earlville Library District to hold Pre-Civil War Quilts program

The Earlville Library District will welcome Connie Martin to present “Pre-Civil War Quilts: Secret Codes to Freedom on the Underground Railroad.”

Discover how pre- and post-Civil War freedom seekers used coding woven into quilts to signal safe routes North through an engaging multimedia presentation and real quilt displays.

The presentation is 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 415 East St., Earlville.
