Ottawa 50, Kewanee 49: At Kingman Gymnasium, the Pirates slipped past the Boilermakers on Tuesday to improve to 8-10 on the season.

Owen Sanders had 18 points and 11 rebounds for Ottawa, with Evan Snook posting 16 points, eight rebounds and four assists, and Dom Parks netting nine points.

Serena 67, Hiawatha 37: At Kirkland, Huskers senior Beau Raikes poured in 29 points and Payton Twait added 12 to help their team improve to 12-11 overall and 6-2 in Little Ten Conference action with the win over the Hawks.

Earlville 51, Somonauk 38: At Earlville, the Red Raiders, led by a 20-point, 13-rebound double-double from Adam Waite, improved to 8-14 overall and 5-3 in LTC play with the win over the Bobcats.

Earlville also received strong performances from Gavin Guelde (10 points, eight assists), Landen Tirevold (nine points) and Easton Fruit (eight assists).

Weston Hannibal led Somonauk (8-14, 3-4) with 13 points.

IMSA 83, Leland 49: At Aurora, the Panthers dropped to 8-12 overall and 2-6 in LTC play with the loss to the Titans.

Fieldcrest 68, Lexington 55: At Lexington, the Knights used a balanced scoring night and tough defense to earn the Heart of Illinois Conference triumph over the Minutemen.

Fieldcrest was led by Layten Gerdes (16 points), Jordan Heider (15 points), Ed Lorton (14 points) and Kash Klendworth (13 points).

Tri-Valley 62, Flanagan-Cornell 50: At Flanagan, the Falcons dropped the HOIC contest to the Vikings.

Logan Ruddy led F-C with 20 points, with Connor Reed adding 15 and Rudra Patel nine.

Girls basketball

Serena 42, Reed-Custer 24: At Serena, the Huskers, led by 13 points from Jenna Setchell, topped the Comets to improve to 19-5 on the season.

Macy Mahler added 10 points and five rebounds, and Kendall Whiteaker eight points and four rebounds for Serena.

Somonauk-Leland 51, Indian Creek 39: At Shabbona, the Bobcats (10-15, 3-1) trailed the Timberwolves by five halfway through the fourth quarter but used a 12-0 run to key the LTC win.

Ashley McCoy (four rebounds, three steals) and Kiley Mason led S-L with 14 points, with Aubrey Chiavario adding 10 points and four rebounds.

Peotone 49, Newark 8: At Peotone, the Norsemen fell on the road to the Blue Devils.
