A driver and three passengers were taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle collision Monday morning, off the Interstate 80 ramp near Columbus Street in Ottawa.
One of the drivers was found to be experiencing a diabetic emergency, the Ottawa Police Department said in a crash report. The driver had no other injuries and was taken to OSF St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Ottawa.
The three passengers in the second vehicle told emergency responders they had arm and chest pain from the seatbelt and were taken to OSF in Ottawa, according to the report. The driver of the second vehicle refused medical treatment.
