The Princeton-Illinois chapter Daughters of the American Revolution met on Feb. 1 at the Prouty Building for their February Valentines meeting.

Stephanie Morris, community education specialist at OSF St. Claire Medical Center, presented her program Caring for Yourself While Caring for Others.

The chapter meetings ended with the opportunity for chapter daughters to visit with Morris and each other.

Hostesses Sue Stutzke and Juanita Tarrence decorated the tables and refreshment table in a Valentine theme.

The Princeton-Illinois chapter would like to invite any woman older the age of 18 who has heard family stories about, suspects, or has direct lineage to a male or female who aided the cause of American Independence to attend a meeting. Contact Nancy Gartner, regent, at nancygartner@ymail.com for any questions.

DAR provides the opportunity to contribute to the community, honor Patriots and preserve American history, make lifelong friends, and gain leadership experience and establish a network in the community and around the world.

The Princeton-Illinois chapter has given more than 2,200 hours of community service this year.
