Streator library to host laser tag Feb. 14

Laser tag is returning to the Streator Public Library on Friday, Feb. 14.

The activity will take place 5 to 6 p.m. at the library, 130 S. Park St., for children. Registration is required at https://www.streatorpubliclibrary.org/

The library also will host a cupid scavenger hunt the week of Feb. 10. Search the library and find all of the hidden items. The theme changes weekly.

1 to 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10: Job Search with Best, adults. Are you looking for your next career opportunity? Join us for this free workshop!

4 to 5 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10: Arts and crafts, young children. Join the library for a fun and sensory safe craft hour with accommodations made for all. Stop by and make a craft to take home and show off.

10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11: Library Book Club, adults. Book Club that explores various genres. Inquire at the front desk about the current book.

4 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11: Little’s Art Time, children ages 3 to 9. Get creative with friends in the library. Learn how to draw or have fun with paint.

5 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11: Heart storytime, children. Have a heart for stories. Stories from the heart and all about hearts this week at Storytime.

3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12: Game Time, ages 10 through teens. Video games, board games, puzzles and more.

5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12: Let’s Talk: True Crime, teens/adults. Are you intrigued by true crimes? Love the thrill of solving the case? Then you’ll love this club! Join the library to chat about some of the craziest true crimes to happen.

10 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 13: Playful pages, children 4 and younger. A toddler playdate hosted in the library.

2 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13: Book lover’s marker makers, all ages. Create a special valentines themed bookmark for your loved ones.

6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13: Painting Academy, teens/adults. The library invites you to come out for a night full of colors!

2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 15: Science Saturday, all ages. Join the library for hands-on science projects and STEAM learning.
