St. Bede girls edge Midland, Mendota boys bowling wins

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Henry-Senachwine 41, Putnam County 36: Kaitlyn Anderson had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds while also making three steals to lead the Mallards to a Tri-County Conference victory Monday in Granville.

Brynna Anderson contributed 12 points and three steals for Henry (7-10, 1-6 TCC).

St. Bede 43, Midland 42: Savannah Bray scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Bruins edged the Timberwolves in a Tri-County Conference game in Varna.

The Bruins are 10-7 overall and 5-2 in conference.

Eureka 66, Fieldcrest 32: Pru Mangan scored 11 points as the Knights lost a Heart of Illinois Conference game in Minonk.

Macy Gochanour added 10 points for Fieldcrest (10-7, 4-2).

BOYS BOWLING

Mendota 3,204, Ottawa 3,098: Kooper Novak rolled a 622 series, including a 257 high game, as the Trojans earned a win at the Elks Lodge in Mendota.

Paxton Bauer bowled a 579 series for Mendota, while Alex Holland added a 571 series.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Henry-Senachwine 67, DePue 44: The Mallards won a nonconference game in Henry.
