BOYS BASKETBALL

Earlville 51, Somonauk 38: Adam Waite had 20 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Red Raiders to a Little Ten Conference victory Tuesday in Earlville.

Gavin Guelde had 10 points and eight assists for Earlville (8-14, 5-3 LTC), while Landen Tirevold added nine points.

Fieldcrest 68, Lexington 55: Layten Gerdes scored 16 points to help the Knights to a Heart of Illinois Conference victory in Lexington.

Jordan Heider had 15 points, Eddie Lorton scored 14 points, and Kash Klendworth chipped in 13 points for Fieldcrest.

Bureau Valley 67, Ridgewood 43: The Storm earned a Lincoln Trail Conference victory in Manlius.

Indian Creek 64, LaMoille 50: Brayden Klein scored 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds as the Lions lost a Little Ten Conference game in LaMoille.

Braden Fisher had 10 points and five rebounds for LaMoille, while Connor Deering contributed nine points.

WRESTLING

At Sterling: Princeton split a pair of close duals, beating Newman 39-36 and losing to Lena-Winslow 39-36.

Kane Dauber (132 pounds), Casey Etheridge (165) and Cade Odell (285) each won two contested matches.

Dauber won by 6-1 decision against Newman and by fall in 3:52 against Lena, Etheridge won by 7-2 and 7-1 decisions, and Odell recorded falls in 37 seconds and 1:36.

Against the Comets, Allister Swanson (120) won by fall in 49 seconds, Augustus Swanson won by fall in 2:26, Corbin Brown won by fall in 1:51, and Ian Morris won by 3-2 decision.

Against the Panthers, Brayden Bickett (106) won by fall in 3:13, Kaydin Gibson (126) won by fall in 54 seconds, and Ace Christiansen (144) won by 7-2 decision.

At Taylor Ridge: Putnam County-Hall dropped a pair of Three Rivers Conference duals, losing 53-12 to Erie-Prophetstown and 61-18 to Rockridge.

Alex Tucker (190) recorded a pair of falls, in 23 seconds against E-P and in 1:57 against Rockridge.

Also for the Panthers against Rockridge, Abigail Lindset (113) won by fall in 3:15, and Cayden Bouxsein won by fall in 3:09.

GIRLS BOWLING

St. Bede 2,177, Streator 2,089: Maddy Fabish rolled a 563 series to lead the Bruins to a victory at the Illinois Valley Super Bowl in Peru.

Chipper Rossi added a 421 series for St. Bede.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Newman 46, St. Bede 45: The Comets drained a 3-pointer with five seconds left to edge the Bruins in a nonconference game in Peru.

Lili McClain led St. Bede with 16 points, while Savannah Bray added 11 points.

Hinckley-Big Rock 61, Mendota 33: Kennedy Knaff had nine points, three rebounds and three assists as the Trojans lost a nonconference game in Hinckley.

Ava Eddy added eight points, three assists and two steals for Mendota.
