BOYS SWIMMING
La Salle-Peru co-op 64, Moline 29: The Cavaliers won nine of 11 events to earn a victory Thursday in La Salle.
Caleb Strand won the 200-yard freestyle (2:06.72) and 500 freestyle (5:50.63).
Other winners for L-P were Brian Lowery in the 200 individual medley (2:17.68), Tucker Ditchfield in the 50 freestyle (25.76 seconds), Jonathan Neu in the 100 butterfly (57.49), Vince Wargo in the 100 freestyle (55.96) and Bo Weitl in the 100 backstroke (59.70).
The Cavs also claimed two relays with Weitl, Ditchfield, Lowery and Neu in the 200 medley relay (1:51.20) and the 400 freestyle relay (3:50.53).
GIRLS BOWLING
La Salle-Peru 3,268, Kaneland 2,525: Anna Ricci rolled a 729 series (216-265-248) as the Cavaliers earned an Interstate 8 Conference victory at the Illinois Valley Super Bowl in Peru.
Camryn Perra had a 556 series for L-P, while Kailey Harper added a 551 series.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Princeton 65, Mendota 28: Keighley Davis scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds as the Tigresses rolled to a Three Rivers Conference East Division victory in Mendota.
Olivia Mattingly contributed 11 points for Princeton.
Dixon 45, La Salle-Peru 37: Kelsey Frederick and Brie Ruppert scored 11 points each as the Cavaliers lost a nonconference game in La Salle.
Elli Sines added seven points for L-P.
El Paso-Gridley 68, Fieldcrest 52: Macy Gochanour poured in 29 points as the Knights lost a Heart of Illinois Conference game in El Paso.
TeriLynn Timmerman scored 11 points for Fieldcrest (13-11, 6-4 HOIC), while Pru Mangan contributed eight points.
Somonauk-Leland 47, Earlville 29: Addie Scherer had nine points and six rebounds as the Red Raiders lost a Little Ten Conference game in Somonauk.
Audrey Scherer added seven points and seven rebounds for Earlville.
Dwight 54, Putnam County 28: The Panthers lost a Tri-County Conference game in Dwight.
Kewanee 35, Hall 32: The Red Devils lost a Three Rivers Conference East Division game in Spring Valley.
WRESTLING
At Princeton: The Tigers cruised to a pair of nonconference wins, beating IVC 55-24 and La Salle-Peru 66-15.
At Lisle: Mendota dropped a pair of nonconference duals, losing 42-36 to Lisle and 59-6 to St. Laurence.
Gavin Evins (157 pounds) won by fall in both matches, while Gavin Stevenson (120) won by fall against Lisle.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Woodland 60, St. Bede 38: Gino Ferrari scored 11 points as the No. 7 Bruins lost to the No. 3 Warriors in a Tri-County Conference Tournament semifinal in Granville.
Henry-Senachwine 67, Putnam County 54: The Mallards won a consolation game in the Tri-County Conference Tournament in Granville.
