GIRLS BOWLING

At DeKalb: La Salle-Peru racked up 6,687 pins Monday to win the Interstate 8 Conference Tournament at Mardi Gras Lanes.

The Cavaliers beat second-place Sycamore (5,763) by 924 pins.

Anna Ricci led L-P as she placed second individually with a 1,213 six-game series, while teammate Camryn Perra was third with a 1,208.

Also for the Cavs, Kaitlyn Miller (1,117) was eighth, Leah Ricci (1,113) was ninth, Evelyn Milton (1,029) was 12th and Kamryn Oscepinski (1,007) was 14th.

L-P also won the Interstate 8 regular season title with an undefeated record.

Anna Ricci and Perra earned all-conference honors, while Leah Ricci and Miller were honorable mention all-conference.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Hall 43, IVC 40: Ava Delphi scored a career-high 14 points, including nine in the fourth quarter, to lead the Red Devils to a nonconference victory in Chillicothe.

Ella Sterling had 12 points for Hall (16-10), while Charlie Pellegrini contributed eight points.

Fieldcrest 53, Ridgeview 14: The Knights took a 22-4 lead after the first quarter and cruised to a Heart of Illinois Conference victory in Minonk.

Macy Gochanour scored a game-high 20 points for the Knights (14-12, 7-4 HOIC), while TeriLynn Timmerman had 17 points and Pru Mangan added 10 points.

Seneca 57, St. Bede 46: Savannah Bray scored 12 points as the Bruins lost a Tri-County Conference game in Peru.

Lili McClain and Ashlyn Ehm each had 10 points for St. Bede (17-12, 8-5 TCC).

Annawan 43, Bureau Valley 36: The Storm were within a point with two minutes left but ultimately lost the Lincoln Trail Conference game in Annawan.

Bella Birkey scored nine points for BV, while Libby Endress had eight points and Brooke Helms added six points.

Dwight 41, Henry-Senachwine 29: Kaitlyn Anderson had 15 points, nine rebounds, seven steals and a block as the Mallards lost a Tri-County Conference game in Dwight.

Brynna Anderson contributed six points, six rebounds and a steal for Henry.

Serena 61, Earlville 27: Natalie Hall scored 10 points as the Red Raiders lost a Little Ten Conference game in Earlville.

Addie Scherer had seven points and Audrey Scherer added six for Earlville.

Rochelle 57, Mendota 28: The Trojans lost a nonconference game in Mendota.

Marquette 57, Putnam County 20: The Panthers lost a Tri-County Conference game in Granville.
