BOYS BASKETBALL
Mendota 50, Hall 47: The Trojans overcame a 12-point halftime deficit to earn a Three Rivers Conference East Division victory Tuesday in Spring Valley.
Cole Tillman scored 14 points to lead Mendota (17-7, 7-0 TRC East), while Cam Kelly added 13 points.
Greyson Bickett had 18 points for the Red Devils (11-11, 2-5).
Fieldcrest 63, Ridgeview 43: Jordan Heider scored 20 points to lead the Knights to a Heart of Illinois Conference victory in Minonk.
Kash Klendworth had 18 points for Fieldcrest, while Eddie Lorton added 12.
Indian Creek 33, Earlville 30: Easton Fruit had 19 points and three steals as the No. 6-seeded Red Raiders lost to the No. 3 Timberwolves in a Little Ten Conference Tournament quarterfinal in Somonauk.
Adam Waite added 11 points for Earlville (10-15), which will play LaMoille in Thursday’s consolation semifinals.
Newark 62, LaMoille 36: Tyler Billhorn scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the No. 10-seeded Lions lost to the No. 2 Norsemen in a Little Ten Conference Tournament quarterfinal in Somonauk.
Brayden Klein contributed seven points, seven rebounds and six assists for LaMoille, which plays Earlville in a consolation semifinal Thursday.
BOYS SWIMMING
La Salle-Peru co-op 62, Morris 31: La Salle-Peru co-op seniors Brian Lowery (L-P) and Tucker Ditchfield (Ottawa) helped the Cavaliers to a senior night win in La Salle.
Lowery won the 100-yard butterfly in 1:01.67, while Ditchfield claimed the 200 freestyle in 2:00.78 and 100 breaststroke in 1:09.23.
Lowery and Ditchfield swam with Bo Weitl and Jonathan Neu to win the 200 freestyle relay in 1:38.51, while Lowery teamed with Weitl, Neu and Caleb Strand to win the 200 medley relay in 1:51.57.
Other winners for L-P were Weitl in the 200 individual medley (2:21.69) and 100 backstroke (1:00.58) and Neu in the 100 freestyle (52.61 seconds).
GIRLS BASKETBALL
Princeton 56, Seneca 53: Keighley Davis and Camryn Driscoll scored 15 points each to lead the Tigresses to a nonconference victory in Princeton.
Davis also had six rebounds and three steals, while Driscoll contributed four rebounds and two steals.
Payton Brandt contributed a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds for Princeton.
