La Salle-Peru junior Kamryn Oscepinski had a rare achievement last week.
Oscepinski rolled her first 300 game during the Buccaneer Invitational at Cherry Bowl, placing fourth overall with a 1,214 six-game series to help the Cavaliers finish fourth as a team.
Earlier in the week, Oscepinski bowled a 674 series with a 267 high game in a win over Ottawa and had a 509 series in a win over Rochelle.
“You’d be hard-pressed to find someone who cares more and puts in more time and effort than Kam O,” L-P coach Aaron Guenther said. “She’s worked incredibly hard to get her game to where it is now. We as a team couldn’t be happier for her for reaching this milestone.”
For her performance, Oscepinski was voted the NewsTribune Athlete of the Week, sponsored by Sullivan’s and Grasser’s Plumbing & Heating.
