La Salle receives $650,000 to rehab 10 homes

The city of La Salle will receive a $650,000 grant for the rehabilitation of 10 homes within the city limits.

A public meeting is scheduled at 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, at La Salle City Hall, 745 Second St., for information on the grant and application process. Residents will have an opportunity to ask questions.

If you are interested, economic development director Curt Bedei said information will be posted this week to social media and the city of La Salle’s website in regard to requirements to qualify for the funds and the information residents will need to apply. Applications will be available at City Hall.

Residents did not need to complete the prior survey to qualify. Additionally, residents who did complete the survey still must apply.
