Putnam County High School will hold its Special Olympics “Cool School Polar Plunge” on Friday, March 14 starting at 1:30 p.m. at the high school parking lot/west yard area.

The site to sign up to plunge and/or donate to the PCHS Special Olympians is https://bit.ly/putnamcs25.

Lewis said by plunging and/or donating, “You are supporting the Special Olympic Illinois athletes across the state, helping to provide them with life-changing programming. This includes year-round training and competition, as well as leadership, personal development, and health education opportunities.

“We need 30 people to sign up to plunge, so hopefully we reach that. Our goal is $3,000.”

Registration is free but the “rules” say that a person needs to raise a minimum of $100 to earn the coveted Polar Plunge Sweatshirt and to take the Plunge.
