La Salle Street in Ottawa was closed from Jefferson to Main streets Friday evening as police and firefighters responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Madison and La Salle streets.

A vehicle was on its side near the sidewalk where the old La Salle County Courthouse in located.

Traffic was being detoured from La Salle Street, which is Route 23 southbound, to Clinton Street.
