Grand Ridge Grade School will be hosting kindergarten registration March 23-25 by appointment only.

Anyone with a student who will be attending kindergarten in the fall should contact Melissa Bernard at bernam@grgs95.org or 815-249-6225 to schedule an appointment for registration. All COVID-19 guidelines will be followed during appointments.

Children must be 5 years old on or before Sept. 1 to be eligible to attend.

To begin kindergarten this fall, parents must bring the following items to registration:

• Certified birth certificate (not the one from the hospital)

• Social Security card

• Medical card, if applicable

All incoming kindergartners must have a dental, physical and eye examination prior to the first day of school. The physical exam must include proof immunizations and lead and diabetes screenings.
