The following students were selected by the Seneca High School teachers and staff as the February 2022 students of the month.
The February 2022 student of the month is Audrey Jenkins. Jenkins is the daughter of Jeremy and Heather Jenkins of Seneca. She plans on attending a four-year college to study theater and political science. She is active in cross country, the National Honor Society, student council, Drama Club, Student Ambassadors, musicals and plays, chamber choir and CIA.
The February 2022 role model of the month is Haley Einhaus. Einhaus is the daughter of Jerry and Kristine Einhaus of Seneca. She plans to attend Eastern Illinois University to study nursing. She is active in basketball, volleyball, HOSA, FCCLA, Student Ambassadors, the National Honor Society and T.R.U.S.T.
Additionally, Harleigh Varland was named February 2022 role model of the month. Varland is the daughter of Matthew and Patience Varland of Seneca. She plans to attend Illinois Valley Community College or another community college, and she is undecided about what she wants to study. She is active in 4-H, CIA, FFA, FCA, the National Honor Society, volleyball and basketball.
The February 2022 most improved student of the month is Joseph Hamilton. He is the son of Joseph Hamilton and Jordyn Hamilton of Seneca. He plans to attend IVCC after high school, and his profession at this time is unknown. He is active in football and track.
The February 2022 rookie of the month is Hailey Culbertson. She is the daughter of John Paul Johnson and Traci Guerrero of Seneca. She plans to attend the Savannah College of Art and Design to pursue an education in interior design. She is active in Art Club, Drama Club, Spanish Club and T.R.U.S.T. She lives with her younger brothers, Ethan and Sebastian Johnson, and older sister, Sierra Culbertson.
