City of Ottawa buys uniform guard rails for outdoor dining

‘Outdoor dining looked really nice in the city of Ottawa,’ commissioner says

The Ottawa City Council approved an agreement to purchase $25,850 in uniform guard rails for restaurants to use for outdoor dining. This money was obtained using the Downtown TIF fund.

“COVID-19 is really bad but we’ve learned that outdoor dining looked really nice in the city of Ottawa last year,” said Commissioner Wayne Eichelkraut. “The city is buying railings so they all match and we’ll let restaurants, bars and other places that want to serve on their sidewalks use these guard rails so everything looks unison.”

These guard rails were purchased from Superior Aluminum Products out of Russia, Ohio.
