The Missing Persons Awareness Network believes “someones knows something” and it’s time to come forward.
The agency is willing to give a $7,000 reward — no questions asked — for the direct location of Garnie Rice, alive or dead.
Rice, 36, was last seen Aug. 30, 2020, in Somonauk. He was last known to be working in the Chicago Heights and surrounding areas.
Anyone with information is asked to call Chief Deputy Jason Martin at the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office 815-433-2161, the FBI at 800-225-5984, or the Missing Persons Network at 312-620-0788.
“You simply call one of these three numbers and give the location,” according to a Facebook post by the Missing Persons Network. “Your identity does not matter. How you know his location does not matter.”
The agency said the person presenting the information can remain anonymous.
“What matters is bringing Garnie home to his loved ones,” the agency said in the post, confirming its reward has been approved by the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office.
Once Rice has been located, the Missing Persons Network will give the tipster $7,000.
Rice met with two men in Ottawa said to work at C&J Sealcoating & Asphalt Repair and has not been since or heard from since. He told his family he was going to work in Chicago Heights and the surrounding areas.
Rice is described as a white man, 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 170 pounds with short brown receding hair, hazel eyes and a goatee. He has a large tattoo on his upper left side chest with the names “Arianna” and “Brooklyn.”
Donors may add to this reward by contacting the agency by emailing missingpersonsawarenessnetwork@gmail.com or calling 312-620-0788
