Dunkin’ Donuts in Ottawa plans move across the street

New location may make entering/exiting parking lot easier

The Dunkin’ Donuts in Ottawa is planning a move across Route 23 to a plot near RP Lumber and the Holiday Inn Express, said Ottawa Mayor Dan Aussem.

Residents have complained on social media about the Dunkin’ Donuts, 2749 Columbus St., having too tight of a drive-thru area and no direct access into its parking lot. Patrons have to utilize an entrance to Kroger to get to the Dunkin’ Donuts parking lot.

Heading north to Interstate 80 from the Dunkin’ Donuts exit also is not a legal option.

Aussem said more details about the donut shop’s move will be available after the City Council meeting Tuesday, June 1.
