No one injured in Ottawa house fire

No one was injured following a house fire on the 1200 block of Lafayette Street in Ottawa.

Firefighters responded at about 2 p.m. Saturday, extinguishing the fire in roughly 10 minutes, containing most of the damage to the living room and kitchen area of the two-story house. The residents and their pet were able to escape the fire uninjured.

Firefighters from Wallace, Utica and Naplate responded to the scene with Ottawa firefighters. Utica Ambulance, Ottawa Central Dispatch and Ottawa Police Department also assisted. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
