The Ottawa Police Department hired two new officers.
Officers Osvaldo Landeros-Leon and Joshua Jabczynski were sworn-in Friday by City Clerk Shelly Munks at Ottawa City Hall.
Landeros-Leon and Jabczynski are both veteran police officers hired through the Lateral Transfer Program established by the city of Ottawa.
Landeros-Leon has been a certified police officer with the La Salle Police Department for more than eight years. He and his family reside in La Salle.
Jabczynski has been a certified police officer with Streator for more than nine years. He and his family live in Grand Ridge.
Upon the completion of field training, both officers will be assigned to the patrol division.
