Police blotter: February 21, 2022

Aaron M. Knight, 38, of Marseilles, was cited Sunday at 1215 La Salle St. on a complaint of battery, Ottawa police said.

Kyle M. Vanda, 24, of Ottawa, was cited Sunday at First Avenue and Glover Street on a complaint of possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle, Ottawa police said.

Christian J. Reynolds, 21, of Ottawa, was cited Sunday at First Avenue and Glover Street on complaints of DUI, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, disobeying a stop sign, possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle, possession of alcohol in a motor vehicle and possession of a controlled substance, Ottawa police said.

Geordon C. Towner, 30, of Sheridan, was cited Sunday on the 700 block of First Avenue on complaints of DUI, improper lane usage, failure to reduce speed, use of electronics communications device and no insurance, Ottawa police said.

Shaun D. King, 32, of Streator, was cited 7:16 p.m. Sunday on Route 18 near East 22nd Road in Otter Creek Township on a complaint of driving while license suspended and warned for speeding 84 mph in a 55 mph zone, the La Salle County Sheriff’s Office said.

Brian E. White, 49, of Peru, was cited 10:15 a.m. Sunday at Walmart on complaints of retail theft, resisting, obstructing or attempting to disarm an officer, Peru police said.

Michael Humpries, 29, of Aurora, was arrested Saturday at Route 23 and North 22nd Road on complaints of aggravated fleeing and eluding, driving while license revoked, speeding, disobeying a traffic control device and other traffic offenses, Ottawa police said. Humpries was taken to La Salle County Jail.

Ryan C. Schunke, 43, of Ottawa, was cited Saturday on the 1100 block of First Avenue on a complaint of driving while license suspended, Ottawa police said.

Jennifer C. Zuber, 38, of Ottawa, was cited Saturday at West Main and Elm streets on complaints of driving while license suspended and disobeying a stop sign, Ottawa police said.

Marisol Sandoval, 25, of Mendota, was cited 7:28 p.m. Saturday at Walmart on a complaint of criminal damage to property of a vehicle, Peru police said.

Mason Jackson, 29, of Chicago, was arrested Friday on the 2000 block of East U.S. 6 on complaints of aggravated fleeing and eluding, resisting arrest, speeding 35 mph or more over the speed limit and other traffic offenses, Ottawa police said. Jackson was taken to La Salle County Jail.

Joshua T. Newcomer, 33, of Peru, was arrested 8:37 p.m. Thursday on the 2500 block of Seven Street on a complaint of aggravated battery, Peru police said. Newcomer was taken to La Salle County Jail.

Karen J. Danner, 44, of Spring Valley, was cited 3:23 a.m. Thursday on Interstate 80 and Route 251 on complaints of no valid driver’s license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle, Peru police said.

Joshua J. Rodda, 27, of Peru, was cited 10:30 p.m. Feb. 15 on the 700 block of Pike Street on complaints of failure to give information after striking an unattended vehicle and driving while license suspended, Peru police said.

John M. Czolgosz, 31, of Peru, was arrested 1:05 a.m. Feb. 14 on the 800 block of Calhoun Street on a Bureau County warrant, Peru police said.
